Orenburg State University

It was founded in 1944 as the Chkalov Medical Institute, and was renamed to Orenburg State Medical University in 1994. OSMU is one of the top-ranked medical universities in Russia, and is accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The university offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health-related fields. OSMU is also home to a number of research institutes and centers, and its faculty members are active in conducting research in a variety of areas of medicine. OSMU is a popular destination for international students, and currently has students from over 50 countries enrolled in its programs.
